New Committee Time / Party Programs

Hi everyone!

I am sorry for those of you who this doesn't apply to... But... It's time to start planning for next years committee!

This year has been a really fantastic and productive year for the Liverpool Student Skydivers. We have established a great relationship with the AU, secured further funding, re-structured the committee for a more organized and productive group dynamic, allowing committee members to pursue goals and initiatives more easily, helping the club develop and members develop with it!

It has been a busy year, and we've made some changed but are looking forward to the fantastic opportunities we've opened up for our club next year.

So if you have been thinking about getting some fantastic experience on your CV, making a difference to a developing club, getting involved in the most adrenaline filled club out there, or just think you would make a positive addition to the team now's your chance.

I have had a fantastic time as President. I've learned so many skills that will help me with my career, and made some amazing friends. All of us on the committee have really enjoyed growing the club and will be sad to pass it on, but are glad it's moving on with such great potential for next year, and years to come.

If you are interested in a position now's the time to start having a chat with the current committee, and getting to know what's involved in each position. The positions available for next year will be: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Kit Manager and BCPA correspondent, and Social secretary. Each position has it's own responsibilities and takes varied amounts of commitment, so please speak to this years committee if you are interested in getting involved for next year! (There is a discussion thread started in which each position is described a bit, and you can go head and ask us questions!! Keep in mind paddy and I will be in France for part of easter so may not answer though until we get back)

Please all members, keep April 28th at 6:30pm available. This is the date of our AGM and when we can vote on next years committee... Also a good night out to follow! ;)

21/04/10 - KICK ASS! DIY SUPERHEROES FANCY DRESS!
Easter’s big film release and we want as many rubbish SUPERHEROES as possible! We want loads of NERDY NINJAS and HIT & MISS GIRLS....this is your chance to wear your undies on the outside, buy a cheap mask and tie a bit of material around your neck! All heroes & baddies welcome but special prizes for most rubbish SUPERHERO!!!

28 /04 /10 - MED HATTER’S UV TEA PARTY!
Join Alice in Neon Wonderland! We are going turning the Mad Hatter’s
Tea party into a even madder Rave. The Queen of Glowing Hearts &
the Fluo White Rabbit will be giving out 1000’s of glow sticks & UV stuff!

12/05 /10 – ROMAN TOGA FANCY DRESS!

19/05 /10 – A TEAM & ACTION ADVENTURE FANCY DRESS!
Hey, sucka! The release of one of the summer’s block busters
and we want as many MR T’s ( B.A. BARACUS) as possible! So quit yo Jibber-jabber! If I ever catch you acting like a crazy fool again...Murdock, Hannibal and Faceman will be gate crashing in! All army, sailors, special forces & Mercernaries welcome!

26/ 05 /10 – HAWAIIAN BAYWATCH BEACH PARTY!
Aloha! Our legendary Beach Party with loads of free garlands, coconut punch, Hawaiian shirts, itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikinis and loads of free Boywatch T Shirts for your summer holidays!

ONE OF THESE LAST TWO WILL BE A IBIZAN FOAM PARTY AS WELL!

02/06/10 – WORLD CUP END OF TERM SPECIAL!
We want people either to dress up in football kits or come as a nationality who are playing in World Cup! So come as French Onion Sellers, Busty German Frauleins, South African Zulus, Orange Dutch Ruud Gullits, US Cheerleaders, Aussie Crocodile Dundees and girls don’t forget your BRAZILIAN!!!!!

We are running slightly longer this year to do a World Cup Special
and coincide with all the Universities finishing! Hopefully some students
from other cities will have also returned to Liverpool for the summer & and all your friends will be welcome to the last one or two! We did this 4 years ago for the last WORLD CUP and it was amazing especially when we played as the last record
